Huzzah!
Many thanks to Statto for retriving EQ from the patent Gay-Abyss that is “broken things on the internet”. *sigh*.
Now I’ve got it back I’m planning on considerably tinkerage, and, perhaps, will get in a few actual links to otherwebsites, this time, such as I’ve not had since BigMcLargeHuge went tits-up at the end of July 2005. I’m also hoping to fish some of the livejournal entries I made around that time last year out of their coffins and shove ‘em in here with appropriate timestamps &c.
I’ll let you know if I manage that, not that you’re liable top be bursting to find out what I was up to back then, since, if you care, you already know, but hey… It’s all good practice.
O, yeah - if you want me to link to a site (and I know you, and you’re not offering me drugs I don’t want, or pornography I’ve no immediate use for, and could get much cheaper on a newsgroup anyway…) then leave me a comment, and I’ll try and work out how to set things up.

My assistance doesn’t stop there. I’ve been offering to put your old entries up (not just Livejournal, but old EQ) for yonks. Send ‘em over and it’s done!

And yes, I know there’s no www and it currently adds one, but that’s because I shortly plan to redesign my permalink structure à la Claire’s with no subdomains, just subdirectories, and no http://www. As soon as I get a free minute…so probably not until mid-September…it will be done.

And a Gay Abyss is like a normal abyss, except when you ask it to give you back the stuff that fell into it, it throws the stuff really badly, and it all falls back in again.

Don’t the old EQ ones contain the LJ ones? Much easier, therefore, to get Dan to give you the old EQ and avoid duplication and brain-screwing?

You shouldn’t need to give the LJ arcs to Statto. WP2 has a *really* easy LJ importer, now. Here’s your instructions:
1. For each month you used LJ for, enter the year and month into the form at http://www.livejournal.com/export.bml. Select “XML” (NOT “CSV”) as the Format. This well help you download a stack of XML files which contain your LJ posts.
2. Go to http://blog.electricquaker.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?import=livejournal and use the form to upload each of the XML files you downloaded in step one.
